Qué Tal Language Program is a non-profit program founded in 2002 that provides Spanish language classes and cultural programs to students and families in the western suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Qué Tal serves students in the Wayzata School District from kindergarten through eighth grade, and kindergarten through fifth grade in the Edina School District. Qué Tal focuses on effective communication and provides the foundation for students to be able to advance their language studies in upper grades. We use culture, music, games, and history, with the daily reinforcement of activities and practice, to keep students engaged and learning in a dynamic environment.

Qué Tal has a current enrollment of over 400 students, 22 teachers, 3 staff members, and revenues of approximately $750,000.

Elementary Spanish Teacher.

We are looking for a passionate and caring Spanish Teacher to join our after-school program. Our ideal candidate can speak and write fluently in Spanish and can get students excited about learning the language in the classroom.

It is a part-time position reporting to the Elementary Teacher Lead. We have open positions in our 3 locations (Edina @ 6817 Antrim Rd.; Plymouth @ 3695 Country Rd. 101N and @ 15600 Old Rockford Rd.)
55-minute classes Monday to Thursday, expected to be on site from ~ 2:30 until 3:45pm (to receive and dismiss students; schedule varies slightly depending on the specific location you select). 2.05 hours paid for each class given. (approx. 135 classes per school year, September to June).

Job requirements

Spanish ability commensurate with native speakers. Associate’s degree or equivalent. Very good interpersonal relationship and teamwork skills. Experience interacting with children. Experience teaching to young children (K-5) preferred but not required.
