My name is Lucy Camacho, I’m Chilean and I have been living in Minnesota the last ten years.
My career is Agronomist with a major in Agricultural economy. My journey to education started in Minnesota and I discovered the joy of teaching adults and children through volunteer work.
I joined Que Tal in 2016. At the beginning I taught first grade and then I added eighth grade. Besides being a teacher, I was in charge of El club . Now I’m a substitute teacher.

Elena Gandía was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She has been at Qué Tal for 16 years. Elena is our Elementary Teacher Lead, and is teaching a 1st and 6th grade class this year.

María Elisa Hagg

María Elisa Hagg was born, raised and educated in Lima, Perú. She came to the United States at the age of 31 and joined Qué Tal in 2015. She is currently teaching 1st grade and 8th grade classes.

María Paula Iannini was born in Bogotá, Colombia. She joined Qué Tal in 2016. She teaches both Elementary and Middle School students, currently teaching 2nd and 7th grade classes.
Carly Kortuem
Executive Director
Carly joined Qué Tal in 2023 as the Executive Director. She brings her nonprofit leadership experience in strategic planning, marketing, finance, operations and a passion for Spanish language culture that stems from attending a Spanish immersion school, living abroad in Spain, and serving as a medical translator at the Mexican Consulate.
